Paul H. Keeler… A Cosmic Cowboy

What the hell is a Cosmic Cowboy, I’ve been asked more than once

Like a real Cowboy, if you pee on my parade I’ll eat your lunch

The truth is I’m getting a little old to give and take a punch

But I’m smart as hell, so now I just sucker punch or use a gun

A real Cowboy prefers making a living on his horse, I ride on my day off

A real Cowboy isn’t afraid of a bull or a bronc, I’m afraid of getting tossed

A real Ranch Cowboy might only own his saddle and a Winchester

And spend his whole paycheck drinking at the Cowboy Bar or Rusty Spur

This Cosmic Cowboy owns five geldings, six mares and two steers

And I think I’m going to fast when speed shakes up my beer

I occasionally wear my Cowboy boots and a Cosmic Cowboy hat

I like Austin Texas Cowboy music at the bar when I dance

Most real Cowboys I know love the flag and this country

And like me wouldn’t be afraid to fight and die to be free
