What God Thinks

One Sunday on summer vacation

I passed a postcard church… And turned around to hear God’s word

Words that blew me away… As the pastor asked the congregation

Do you ever wonder what God thinks when we pray

Do you thank the Lord with gratitude… Or is all about you

Do you pray for unknown faces… In war-torn hungry places

Do your prayers smell of greed… Or do you pray for those in need

Do you pray to make God laugh until he cries

Or do you pray and cry asking God why

Do you pray and asked to see the map

 To understand God’s salvation plan

When you pray remember… Jesus is a busy savior

So try asking God to give you angel wings

So you can help the sick and the lonely and anyone in need

Remember God is the great Creator

He created us to be happy in all endeavors

He created us to be creators

To help him create the perfect place

Where a smile is worn on every face
