…As if crippled…
She carried herself
With the burden
Of the weight of pain
With the look of love’s strain
When I asked
She spoke the words
On the edge of tears
…Of predicted sadness…
…Without forgiveness…
All the memories
That should be lost
Came alive
In the gray of her eyes
Then finally she cried
A great flood… baptized me
Until I cried
I tried to share her pain
So she gave… As I became
One in the same
Then my forbidden lips touched
As I whispered love’s name
When I took her pain
The power of love changed
The look of loves strain
